Pieve di Cadore, “Art City”. The great painter Titian was born here, and tourists can see the house where he was born, as well as some of his works in the Archdeacon’s Church. Also popular with visitors interested in history and culture are the Eyewear Museum and the 15th century Magnifica Comunità building, which houses the Palaeovenetian Museum. Art, culture and nature are very much at home in Pieve di Cadore. Well worth a mention is the S. Alippio Park, very popular with visitors for two reasons: the first is Father Christmas’s cottage, and the second is the opportunity to go on lengthy walks along easy, flat paths dotted with benches, from which you can admire the splendid views over Centro Cadore Lake. Activities available: tennis, horse-riding, mountain bike school, indoor pool with sauna and tanning centre, dancing school, fitness and wellness centre, mountain guides, guided visits to museums, historic town centres, great War routes on Monte Piana or the Ampezzo mountains.
